Walk of Charities at The Harbor Shops December 2, 2010 5:30 pm- 9:30 pm

Bringing awareness to our community, The Harbor Shops hosted the 1st Annual Charity Walk; an event where participating Harbor Shops tenants welcomed the charity of their choice to decorate store windows with displays depicting who they are, what their mission is, what they do, where is their location, where they operate, who they reach out to and how they impact those they seek to serve.

Shoppers and visitors throughout The Harbor Shops that day voted for the best window decoration display. A cash prize was awarded to the charity window display receiving the most votes. The 2nd place winner received a trip to the Bahamas for individuals who benefit from the winning charity on Norwegian Cruise Line

Participants and participating stores included: Gilda’s Club of South Florida – display at Gilbert’s 17th Street Grill The Shepherd’s Way – display at The Prissy Hen – 2nd PLACE WINNER! Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – display at Orange Theory Fitness A Child Is Missing – display at Verizon Wireless Canine Assisted Therapy – display at Nature’s Remedy Hospice Care – display at Essentials Boutique Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation – display at Pro Pilates; Firehouse Subs; Moe’s Southwestern Grill; Tropix Tanning (954-467-8401) – 1st PLACE WINNER!! Jack & Jill Children’s Center – display at Lauderdale Grill Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation – display at Charlie’s Locker The Friendship Circle of Fort Lauderdale – display at D’Lites Emporium The Ann Storck Center – display at Massage Envy All were invited for a holiday stroll to view and vote on these wonderful window displays and to see how our local charities impact the community! Visitors and voters also enjoyed free food samplings and refreshments from our participating restaurants and other festivities. 2011 we will be hosting the 2nd Annual event on December 1st 2011. All interested charities must be sponsored by a tenant of the Harbor Shops.
